Built by people who hated renting cars
Olivia Motors LTD started because two frequent travellers got tired of queuing at 1am for a vehicle they had already paid for. Seven years later, the counter is gone.
We rebuilt rental around the eight minutes that matter
In 2019 our co-founder Elena landed at Auckland Airport after a fourteen-hour flight and spent fifty-one minutes at a rental desk being sold an upgrade she did not want. She sketched the first version of what became Olivia Motors LTD on the shuttle back to the terminal.
The premise was simple: everything that happens at the counter can happen before you arrive. Licence checks, insurance selection, payment, the vehicle walk-around — all of it moves to your phone. What is left is the part people actually want, which is somebody handing you a key.
We started with nine cars on a leased forecourt in Auckland. Today we run 120 vehicles across 30 cities in New Zealand, and the median time from arrival to ignition is eight minutes and eleven seconds. We measure it at every branch, every day.

Four rules we do not bend
They are printed on the wall of every branch, and they are the first thing we hire against.
Price it honestly
The quote you see is the invoice you get. No fuel surcharge, no counter upsell, no admin fee invented at return.
Respect the clock
Nobody has ever enjoyed a rental queue. Every process we build is judged on the minutes it removes.
Keep it showroom
Every vehicle is under three years old, deep-cleaned between rentals and inspected against a 42-point sheet.
Answer as a human
A named contact on every booking, reachable at 3am. No ticket numbers, no phone trees, no scripts.
Growth that came from people coming back
Seventy-one percent of last quarter's bookings were made by someone who had already rented from us.
